Contraindications and recommendations before treatment

Hair removal treatments carried out using an SHR device are minimally invasive and safe, but it is important to keep in mind some contraindications.

LIST OF CONTRAINDICATIONS:

  • pregnancy
  • fresh tan (it is forbidden to sunbathe 72h before and after treatment, the skin cannot be sunburnt)
  • self tanners (stop using 1 week before treatment)
  • vitamins A and E used both orally and as creams (stop using 1 week before treatment)
  • herbs: Saint John’s wort, marigold, field horsetail, heartsease (stop using 3 weeks before treatment)
  • photosensitizing medication, antibiotics, retinoids (stop using 1 month before treatment)
  • tetracycline medication (stop using 1 month before treatment)
  • aspirin and other blood thinners (stop using 1 week before treatment)
  • hair removal using wax, tweezers or an epilator (stop using 1 month before treatment)
  • peeling (stop using 1 week before treatment)
  • active skin diseases (e.g. psoriasis, albinism)
  • cancerous diseases
  • active infection in the treated area
  • inclinations toward scarring and discolorations
  • active herpes in the treated area


RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE TREATMENT:

  • 1-2 days before your appointment, carefully shave hair in the area for treatment
  • don’t use any photosensitizing medication or creams
  • on the day of your appointment, don’t put any creams, balms, antiperspirants and other preparations on the skin for treatment
  • one month before laser hair removal, it is forbidden to use any of the following methods of hair removal based on removing hair along with hair bulbs, i.e. epilator, wax, tweezers (it is recommended to shave your hair)
